भारतीय एक सिरियलमा नेपाली शब्द जोडेर निकै तुच्छ गाली दिइएको छ ।

बलिउड नायिका अनुष्का शर्मा निर्मात्री रहेको पाताल लोक नामको सिरियलमा एक महिलालाई गाली गर्नका लागि  निकै तल्लो स्तरको शब्द प्रयोग गरिएको छ ।

अमेजन प्राइम सिरिजमा प्रसारण भइरहेको यो सिरियलको पहिलो सिजनको दोस्रो एपिसोडको ३ मिनेट ४१ औं सेकेन्डमा महिला पुलिसकर्मीले एक युवतीमाथि कुटपिट गर्दै भन्छिन्, ‘साथी हुन् कि ग्राहक हुन् ? धन्धा गर्छेस् ? नेपाली रण्*’

यसमा प्रलक्ष नामका एक व्यक्तिले निकै लामो पोष्ट लेख्दै अनुष्का शर्माबाट माफी मागेका छन् । इन्स्टाग्राम पोस्टमा उनले लेखेका छन्, ‘एउटा सार्वभौम राष्ट्रका निकै मिहिनेती समुदायका लागि यस्तो शब्दको प्रयोग गर्न कसरी आँट गर्यौ ? म एक भारतीय गोर्खा हुँ मैले यो यसकारण लेखेँ किनभने यसले मलाई दुःखी बनायो । मेरी आमा र दिदी बहिनीले यस्तै चित्रणका कारण विभिन्न समस्या भोग्नुपरेको छ  र तिमीहरुले घाउमा नुन खुर्सानी दल्ने काम गरिरहेका छौ ।’

(Scene from Season 1, Episode 2, 3 minutes & 41 seconds) How dare you do this to BRAND millions of hard working community from #Nepal a sovereign nation. Cultural history, ethnicity and language, also shared by Indian Citizens majorly settled in Sikkim, Districts of Kalimpong, Darjeeling, Assam, Meghalaya and all over India and the world? I am an Indian Gurkha and I write this because it hurts me. My mothers and sisters have already faced a lot of communal backlashes because of these kind of portrayal, and you are just adding fuel on fire. And during the time when Northeastern Indians are termed as "Corona" and are mercilessly being assaulted all over the streets of India, this scene only proves that the entire crew of #PataalLok is here to spread communal disharmony, which is totally racist against the women of Nepal and my northeastern community. APOLOGIZE! यसका साथै, रक गायिक अभया सुब्बाले पनि प्रलक्षको यो पोष्ट सेयर गर्दै यसमा उल्लेख गरिएको शब्दले पूरा समुदायको अपमान गरेको भन्दै अनुष्का शर्माबाट माफीको माग गरेकी छिन् ।

उनको र प्रलक्षको पोष्टमा थुप्रैले यस्ता शब्द कुनै पनि हालतमा सह्य नभएको भन्दै यसले भारतीयको नेपालीप्रतिको दृष्टिकोण स्पष्ट पार्ने बताएका छन् ।
